Is the main business support vehicle of Free Spirits Ltd - a UK company specialising in understanding and practising on-line marketing. Our company runs internet trading businesses selling plants and biological controls. Our consultancy carries out research into how small companies use IT and e-business effectively and develops training programmes and materials for the small companies themselves and those who wish to reach them. Finally we facilitate strategic marketing planning services.

Clients include DTI, Government of Wales, ODPM, Hewlett Packard, PCWorld, Virgin Atlantic, One London and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Dr Alan Rae, our managing partner is a lively and interesting speaker and author with a 25 year track record as an owner manager in IT, Business Training and consultancy. He is a Fellow of the CIM and sits on it's Professional Body Board.

Dr Lisa Harris

Lisa is Course Director of the MSc in Marketing Analytics at the University of Southampton School of Management. She is a Chartered Marketer and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing International Board of Trustees. Before joining the education sector she worked for 10 years in marketing roles within the international banking industry . Lisa is the author of several books on e-marketing.

Fintan Clear

Fintan is a lecturer at Brunel University Business School.. His interests lie in the drivers and inhibitors of e-business, data security and accessibility for smaller firms. Previously he worked in supply chain information systems development for a large UK multiple retailer. Fintan's interests are particularly centred on how small companies use IT

Jas Dhaliwal

Jasdev Dhaliwal has worked for several Blue Chip clients across a number of sectors, predominantly responsible for IT Service Delivery and relationship management. He is an MBA graduate, ITIL practitioner and a Chartered IT Professional of the British Computing Society. He currently blogs on how small firms are using Web 2.0 technologies over at thewebpitch.com

 

This is a taste of the team in action at the workshops

We have been working together for several years but the current work comes from a research project "Abandoned Heroes" which was carried out with colleagues from Royal Holloway. Since January we have been talking to early adopters who use the internet and Web 2.0 techniques to promote themselves effectively. The insights from this make up Punch Above Your Weight
